Oh i saw the photos of him in the paper yesterday! Disappointing for the people in Scarborough who were looking forward to the celebrations but, tbh, I'd rather see the Walrus. I hope he had a peaceful night's rest :)
 

Thor the walrus kept safe by 'tusk' force in Scarborough. He turned up, uninvited, and prompted a rapid takeover of the local area with security, paparazzi and fans hopeful for selfies. Yet when residents of the Yorkshire seaside town were graced with the presence of an Arctic walrus as a celebrity guest, they not only enjoyed the furore, but also erected a "tusk force" to cordon off the area, help to keep him safe and ensure all dogs were kept far away.
He arrived in Scarborough on Friday night and since then has drawn huge crowds of delighted tourists and locals to the harbour on New Year’s Eve.
