What's your funny 'Oops!Wrong person' moment?
I was once sat on a wall at Barry Island-a Welsh seaside resort-with my parents and sister, aged about 14.A guy started walking towards me shouting 'Stephen! How are you? What are you doing here?'.As he got closer he held out his hand for a handshake. Then he realised I wasn't Stephen.Cue embarrassment for him, hysterics for my parents and weeks of being called Stephen!

I get people coming up to me constantly asking for my autograph, I honestly don't see the resemblance but apparently I'm a dead ringer for Lurch.

On a subway I saw a friend way at the other end. I was a teenager and I shouted out his name. Every one turned and stared at me. Worst of all it wasn't him. I was so embarrassed I got off at the next stop even though it wasn't my destination. I had to wait for another train. Lesson learned the hard way.

I was in a theater watching a flick. A couple appeared on the screen, and I shouted out, "Hey, that's my roommate, David!" I honestly thought it was. In a split second, I realized that not only was that person NOT David, but that person was a girl! Oops! I can't remember how I "prepped" for that flick. Ah, college days, long gone!

A well-known TV personality walked by me, as I sat eating in a food court at the mall. He turned and said, "What are YOU doing here?" I knew he thought I was someone else, as I had never met the guy, but I wanted to know why he got sacked from the TV job he had left Austin for. I said, "I'm not who you think I am, Tim, but sit down, anyway. I want your recent life story!" He sat down, and we talked for a good half hour. Nice experience, actually.

I can just imagine what condition you were in at that movie! :playful:

Was at a High School reunion when I saw a gal I hadn't seen in many years. Back in the day we where very friendly towards each other, but we didn't date or anything like that.
Anyway, she's at the other end of a long table, sees me, comes over and gives me a big hug.
While I'm getting the hug, she says, "Steven." Steven??

I pull back from her and say, "I'm not Steven."
Her eyes kind of glazed over and starting going back and forth. I could tell she didn't have a clue who I was.
"I'm Dave ........"
"Oh," she said. "You haven't changed a bit."
