Someone posted a thread not long ago about someone here in the U.S. selling organs. I wanted to respond to it, but I was really busy that day and left it go then, but here is something that some people may find interesting. In the U.S. there is a database of needed organs with matching blood types. Some people have tried to turn this system into a real money-maker.
There was a doctor and a group of 3 or 4 other people involved in a organ selling ring. They would take their car and go out on lonely country roads and crash another car. An ambulance that was part of the operation would be standing by. Once the “fake” cop would arrive, he would radio for the “fake” ambulance. They would pick up the injured driver and deliver him back to the shop they had setup.
The patient would be given an overdose of Demerol and once deceased, they would harvest the organs and check them against the organs needed by looking on the database. They made millions before the FBI caught up to them. I want to say this was in either California or Texas, but I can’t find anything on the internet about it. I read it years ago, like maybe in the late 70’s, but I was hoping I could find more about it. I will keep looking.
