I have been gradually cutting down on the meat that I eat, partly because of the rising cost of meat, and partly because of all the diseases that are being spread through the meat right now, as well as the dangerous drugs they are giving the animals when raising them for food.
So far, chickens have been about as safe and affordable as any kind of meat to be able to eat. but now, i am reading about a deal being made with China, where our chickens are going to be sent there for processing and packaging, and then shipped back here for consumers to buy. The meat will not be specially labeled, so there will be no way of knowing whether or not you are eating chicken that has been processed in China.
China already processes much of our seafood, and has just recently purchased, Smithfield, the largest pork processing corporation in the United States.
Once the meat is being processed by China, the USDA will no longer be inspecting it.
