Our grandchildren can say some whoppers

One of our grandson's was being questioned by my son about a mess he had obviously made in the den. With repeated questioning he continued to provide not untrue but vague and evasive answers. Finally he succumbed to the interregation and said to his father, "Dad if you keep asking, you're going to make me have to lie."

Out of the blue one of our granddaughters told my wife, "Nana I'm going to miss you when your dead and gone." We chose to interpret that as a statement of love, kind of.

That little boy is an amazing man today, and that precious little girl will join her brother as a freshman at Duke in the fall. I love the memories freely given us by our children and grandchildren.
