We have pots in our courtyard and have the flowers replaced twice a year. They were last replaced in spring. We had one temperature drop to the high 30's a couple of weeks ago but we quickly rebounded and have been in the 80's. The flowers, even the Mexican heather, is still blooming. We have bees around the Mexican heather blooms!
Our landscaper would usually have planted ornamental cabbage and pansies way before this but it's too warm so it's not even worth it anymore. I'd rather just go with empty pots until March at this point. Yes, it's nice but it doesn't bode well for our upcoming Texas summer.
