Oven Scare

I used the oven in my new house, then realized when I went to shut it off, I didn't know how. I hunted on the control panel and finally found a CANCEL button (it wasn't very visible in dark letters on a black stove), but I guess that's what I have to do.
Go online or on youtube and search the brand name of the oven. You should be able to find all its features that way.

IKR? These control panels all seem to want to call stuff anything in the world but what you'd expect: no "Off" buttons anymore, gotta be "Cancel" or something like that. You wonder who designs some of this stuff.

Maybe somebody with a weird sense of humor... like "Heh, let's see how many customers can figure this out!" :ROFLMAO::oops::cool:

We have an Amana oven which is part of the Whirlpool Corporation, who also owns Maytag.
Anyways .. We have the same control panel on our oven with 'cancel' on the face.
Only difference is our control panel is all white with small black lettering used for description.
It's been a good little stove/oven, we got it back in 2003.
