Final payment for home restoration and incurred expenses failed to compensate for financial, physical and mental health toll on body, mind and financial loss due to home displacement from pickup truck crash into house May, 3, 2024.

it‘s over and the experience has taken its toll on us and our pets. We had to fight with insurance and construction crews throughout the whole ordeal and I cannot say we were the victor at best all I can say is we survived.

It's sad, you pay all that money every month and for what? They fight you every step of the way or do their best to deny you or give you very little to make up for the loss. I hate insurance companies.

You didn't have to accept the settlement, after all that may have only been their first offer. I figure God gave us hind legs to stand up for ourself.

Seldom does it go well with property loss claims, especially the big ones. I felt exhausted from one I had a few years ago. We can fight and maybe get some small concession(s) - maybe not. When settlement finally got close enough that I could live with it, I finally just accepted it and moved on. Unending stress can overwhelm me; not worth it.

I think that makes sense. The first offer isn't necessarily where you have to end up. Kind of like a football team that punts on the first down,.
