Owls hooting after power outage

Last night our electricity was out for about an hour; a large area was affected.

I happened to be outside when the streetlights came back on at about 9:15 p.m. and all the owls started hooting.

I guess they were about as excited as I was?

That was nice of them that they gave a hoot.

Probably the light hurt their eyes and they were yelling: Turn them off! Turn them off!

I wonder if they got confused and thought daybreak was arriving?
