Oxford Team Can Make Jet Fuel From CO2

A team at Oxford University have developed an "Iron
Catalyst" that can turn Carbon Dioxide into aviation fuel,
only in a lab at present, but are planning to increase the
process in the New Year.

Sounds great, but it will upset the oil companies I bet!

I'm all for finding alternatives for fossil fuels. This research, and hopefully the answers it provides, will become increasingly important for the health and safety of civilization with every passing year.

Personally, I'd like to see a means of using Nuclear Fusion for electrical generation, and Hydrogen power for vehicles. Both would offer minimal pollutants to the environment, and be sustainable with little, or no, impact to the planet.
