Is anybody suffering from this distressing condition ?

Wren....That is Psoriasis you are referring too, I'm not that smart, I looked it up :D I know someone who does suffer from it and feel so bad for them, not just the pain, they find it embarrassing.

I do not know what I occasionally suffer from, thank goodness it is only occasional. Have an appointment with a dermatologist in three months as family doc is not sure. Some kind of allergic reaction maybe?

Raised red rash appears on the neck and under just the one eye, painful, itchy, and the last attack had me sleeping with two ice packs.

What does help is Reactine which I do not like taking as it makes me drowsy but have no choice. The creams do little to nothing.

Of course now that I have been told to record what I ate or what I did, have not had an attack in two months.

Thanks Lee, sorry you are suffering, I don’t have it but somebody close to me does, it affects the palms of the hands and soles of the feet and just awful, there’s no cure but it can be treated, they start their treatment today

Palmoplantar pustulosis is an auto-inflammatory disease but the exact cause of the condition is still not fully understood.

Google for more info but the pictures are not nice to look at...

My friend has plaque psoriasis a chronic autoimmune condition. She injects a medicine to lower her immune system to control it.

I have another type of autoimmune disease called phemphigoid, a rash resulting in tiny blisters that itch. The immune system mistakenly begins to attack the healthy tissues.
Like my friend, I take immune lowering medication, but in pill form that keeps it cleared up.

I am hoping your friend's condition can be controlled with medication!

OMG RadishRose, I looked up your condition and that seems serious indeed and quite rare.

We never hear about these less common ailments.

Thanks for the replies, the worst thing is knowing its incurable, I’m just praying the treatment works, theres chance it could clear up and never come back, only time will tell.....
