Parents issue hilarious warning after accidentally baking ‘Elf on the Shelf’: 'Bake cookies, not elves'

Poor little elves.

A girlfriend of mine, an absolute train wreck when it comes to homemaking, had stowed away a large plastic bowl in her oven, because there was no room in her cupboard for it. Several weeks passed and one morning she decided to do a little baking, and having completely forgotten about the plastic bowl inside the oven, she turned the oven on to preheat, and it wasn't until the she smelled the burning and melted plastic, that she realized what she had done.

Moral of the story, don't store of put anything in your oven that isn't oven safe, and doesn't pertain to cooking or baking.

Mine is not an oven story, it's a barbeque story. Asked a neighbor to come in to feed the cat and told her the key was hidden in the barbeque in one of those plastic lock box thingies and for her to put it back there.

Lesson learned.....barbequed keys and holder are useless.

I have two cousins that are very accident prone. It's a daughter and her father. Her father tripped over a crack in the sidewalk and hit his head into side of his car. He looked like superman flying. Daughter is just as bad about accidents because she took her finger tips off on her right hand because of a cheese grater.
