We had a lot of parents in Australia who refused to immunise their children so the government had to do something. They introduced a new plan called “No Jab, No Pay” which meant that if your child was not vaccinated, parents would be cut off from their welcome payments. And it worked like a charm - we now have an early childhood vaccination rate of over 90 percent for children aged one to five years of age. Sometimes you have to get tough to get the required result and there was not a whisper of dissent.
