Part of the proceeds will go to charity

Before I donate, most of the time I google Charity Navigator and it tells you what percentage that most of the charities allow for administrative costs.

I thought that no profit meant it all went to the poor people. No it's just that they don't make a profit. They still pay loads of staff. I always look at what the boss makes.

A guy on christian forums said he got a job as a director or something for an organization for poor people in Africa. He'd earn 250.000 a year plus get an extra house in Belgium. He was so surprised that people weren't happy for him. You spare 25 euro from your mouth to give to some real poor person, you think, but instead he and his wife eat it. Bye. Then I rather give money directly to a homeless person.

I don't think a charity would use those terms when they're just asking for an outright donation.

Is the OP referring to organizataions claiming that part of the proceeds from the sale of certain merchandise or services will go to charity? If so, the Federal Trade Commission can require or does require full disclosure under truth-in-advertising laws.
