Pasta Bake

I made this layered casserole and can get several servings from it. There no set recipe only pasta and crushed tomatoes. I just use what's on hand or have bought to add a little extra to it. This also contained sliced grape tomatoes, spinach, ricotta, mushrooms and provolone cheese - not to mention herbs and spices.

That would go great with the garlic bread I'll soon be baking to go with our dinner. :giggle: I made a new recipe for tonight and it's really not looking so great... hopefully the flavors will blend and it will be better warmed up in a few hours. It's Italian Chicken Soup with Pasta... the pasta is farfalle. Looks pretty but seems a little bland as it came together. We shall see.

If the broth is too bland, may be some tomato paste will perk up the flavor.....

I use a product called Better Than Bouillon. I have the chicken, the beef and the roasted vegetable flavors. Any time something is a little bland or weak-flavored, a spoonful of the appropriate flavor will ramp it right up!

I use the chicken flavor in cooking vegetables, too, especially kale or collards.
