PBS show'The Great American Read debuts tonight

Meredith Vieira's new show on PBS'The Great American Read" debuts tonight at 8pm{check local listings}.
This is a 8 part series to crown the country's favorite novel out of a list of 100 books from a nationwide survey. The list is on the PBS website
Tonight's episode is 90min,interviews with celebrities on their favorite books. The show will return in the fall Sue

I watched the show last night,I've read most of the books that made the survey
I was surprised,the erotic novel'50 Shades of Grey' by E.L. James was included
One of my all time favorite books,"Lonesome Dove' by Larry McMurtry made the list.I was amused when actress,Diane Lane talked about the book. I don't think too many people realize she had a supporting role in the TV mini series '89 based on the book. A terrific all star cast in that show:
Robert Duvall,Tommy Lee Jones,Danny Glover,Angela Huston,Rick Schroder,Robert Ulrich
I'll be interested to learn which book got the most votes in Oct Sue
