I'm still working on the basket of peaches my son brought us from Georgia.
My Czech grandma would always make these dumplings during peach season.
Somehow she managed to get the dough around a whole peeled peach, cooked it until done, split them open and poured on butter and topped them with sugar and cinnamon,
I tried several times to get the dough around the slippery peach but couldn't manage it, so I cheat.
I make the dumplings first and add sliced warmed peaches with the butter sugar and cinnamon.
These days I have to make some gluten free for myself and I make the regular ones for the family.
The gluten free ones
aren't quite as good but I still enjoyed them.
