My son recently installed my new cat-con and the metal security cage he made for it.

When thieves and buyers are caught with stolen cat-cons, I don't see how identifying the owner of one of them helps. You don't find piles of cat-cons in a dumpster or come across them in a gutter. If someone's got several of them hidden under his bed or in a storage unit, they're obviously stolen.

But it's a a free service. Can't hurt.

In Calif, all cat-cons are stamped with an ID label, but that's because Californians are prohibited from buying them online or outside the state. California cat-cons cut more emissions than ones from elsewhere...so they say.

i remember back when the police told us to put our soc sec number on tv's and stuff????!!!!!
ALL of my many tools have my DOB engraved on them. Same with my car rims. I bought a electric engraving pen from H.D. for $19.99 about 30 years ago, and I still use it . JimB.
