This is in my home town and County. It’s also the first I have heard about this. I doubt if it will catch on.

Are people really going to risk exposer to their children?
I find the whole idea of trick and treating during a pandemic to be extremely risky.
Dear husband and I will NOT be handing out candy this year.

I've seen all that I have needed to see over the past month or two... school kids in the playground NOT wearing masks, and with everyone pooh-poohing the seriousness of it all, no thanks.

I think this is a cool idea. Good for them!

If our county were not strongly recommending and requesting we don't distribute candy this Halloween, I'd wear a mask, keep the trick-or-treaters outside my front gate for social distancing, and use a "grabber" to put the candy through the slats in my gate and deposit it in kids' bags.
