Pennsylvania theme park ride strands riders upside-down

I love amusement parks and when I was a kid, I loved the dangerous rides.

But I am really not a fan of these ever-increasing dangerous rides. A regular good old roller coaster is plenty scary enough...

constantly pushing every single limit is not always a good idea.

you get into a war between safety and pushing the limits. And there will always be mistakes. And with the more extreme rides, there will be deaths.

It's just not worth it.

I am disabled. I was a pedestrian, run over by an SUV. Lucky me, plenty of other horror shows in life too.

You think you are invincible, until you are not. And then it is too late.

Life of chronic pain is a horror show. It is not life as you knew it before. Entirely different.

Your body and your life, to some degree, becomes a prison, instead of freedom and fun.

Just not worth the risk.

I've never liked amusement park rides. I just look at the carnies and ask myself if I want to trust them with my life.
The corn dogs and blooming onions are all the risk thrill I need.
