1942, for me. Sometimes I remember small things from my childhood, and it was certainly far different than what the young kids experience today. The way things are going in recent years, I sometimes think that the latter half of the 20th century will be recorded in history as the "best of times".

In was born in the 40's also, and feel that I grew up in the best of times ... the music, cars, etc.

Korea is sometimes referred to as the forgotten war, and as a small kid it certainly was not on my radar at the time. Too bad because it was brutal nonetheless.

I remember back in the 60's thinking about how far away the year 2000 was and how "Old" I would be. I turned 50 that year. Absolutely ancient. LOL
