Permission to Track Your Cell Phone?

Our iPhones have a Find Me app so we can give permission to family or friends to be able to track us. My daughter has this turned on for me and vice versa. When we’re travelling I want someone to know where we are.

Right now I just looked at where she is visiting in Scotland, ~7000 km away. I just did this to comment how powerful this is.

I don’t have this turned on for my husband. I’m not going anywhere that he doesn’t need to know, I just don’t want to. If any of our Apple devices went missing, we can track them. He doesn’t know this app exists and I’m not telling him.

Family were telling us that all three of them use Net360 app and it pinpoints exactly where they are. They were watching the young teen and her phone left the mall and went to an unusual location. Soon she walked in the door and the phone was still tracking. They drove to the location and sure enough an elderly couple had brought it home and were trying to figure out how to contact her.

Amongst things, this app shows the battery power of everyone else’s phones. Why, I don’t know!

It’s a free app. To me that’s too much info to give out.

Anyone else use an app like this? I

A number of years ago I used an app to track my daughter's phone, but back then I think I had to pay a dollar to find the location. I think it is a nice feature, but didn't help us find her phone when she lost it at an overnight with friends, we could track that the phone was still there, but it wasn't until the next year when someone set up their tent again that the phone was really found.
