Personality Types

Does anyone buy into these types of classifications such as the Myers & Briggs MBTI personalty type. This kind of peaked my interest so I went around to a couple of sites & took the test. They all came back reporting the same result (INTP) which was rather interesting because that type explains me pretty well. So there are 16 different types and for the most part these test are pretty quick to take. There are no right or wrong answers and the world would be a pretty boring place if we were all the same type.

Anyway, I thought it provided a lot insight especially when coming to grips with accepting myself. I think it’s also helpful when communicating with other people. I was always amassed how some people (like cars salesman) new my type after just a few words came out of my mouth.

One such free test site is Truity-The Typefinder Personality Test. There are plenty more if you DuckDuckGo “myers & briggs test free online”.

Whats even more interesting are the compatibility comparison between types!

The link won't come up on this laptop.. most quizzes are, in my opinion, either just for fun or misleading nonsense.
But I do believe Myers & Briggs is accurate.. and, if you can find the legitimate version, the one called The Big Five.

Took the quiz, no idea what it means...

About Your Type

An an ESTJ, you are conventional, factual, and grounded in reality. For you, the proof is in the past: what has worked and what has been done before. You value evidence over conjecture, and trust your personal experience. You look for rules to follow and standards to meet, and often take a leadership role in helping other people meet expectations as well. You concern yourself with maintaining the social order and keeping others in line.
You are the consummate organizer, and want to bring structure to your surroundings. You value predictability and prefer things to proceed in a logical order. When you see a lack of organization, you often take the initiative to establish processes and guidelines, so that everyone knows what's expected.
You often take on a project manager role at home as well as at work, and excel at setting goals, making decisions, and organizing resources to accomplish a task. You want to achieve efficient productivity and typically believes this is best accomplished when people and systems are well organized.

Bottom line
You are full of shit and lied on the test

In other words

You're a terrible influence
Does anyone know you're out?

Almost scary, both the good parts and the bad...er.....not so good parts.;)

Myers & Briggs has the same diagnostic validity as the 'Magic Eight Ball'. There's absolutely no scientific proof that the so called "types" are anything more than fantasy. It's utter pseudo-science. It's amazing how this discredited rubbish gets dragged out as fact.
