Why on television is any yellow machine on a construction site is a bulldozer? Come on people if you are an anchor or presenter or a producer please put forth the minimal effort to correctly label the machines.

Don't know. Although I have seen cranes that were red, the kind that fall off the tops of buildings onto the streets below.

Maybe because a lot of people wouldn't know the difference anyway? I wouldn't.

Many "journalists" just simply don't know these things themselves. This extends to tools, weapons, vehicles, the military and much more.

People not knowing the difference is the exact reason the presenters should get it right. These shows and news reports are touted to be "quasi" educational.

I guess I am wrong in feeling that perpetuate misinformation is a disservice to society. Ignorance is never a good thing, especially when it is so easy to educate.

Just saw that on TV the other night, a Front End Loader was being called a bulldozer. Makes you wonder what else they get wrong with their reporting. :distrust:
