Yes, it certainly is expensive. I can only speak as a visitor, but I would recon that food, drink etc. is about 50% more than UK . Against that, it was relatively cheap to rent an apartment and rail travel was very reasonable. When it comes to alcohol over 4.7%, this can only be bought in a state run drinks store. Talking to them, I was told that 'everyday' drinks are expensive, but premium brands are often cheaper in Norway.Shame you got the rain.. but well, it is April I suppose....
Was it expensive there. I have a friend who lives in Oslo, and she's always saying how expensive everything is compared to Florida where she lives 6 months of the year
