Pittsburgh woman finds 200 walnuts and squirrel's nest under hood of her car.

When I was a kid the barn cats would get up under the hood of a warm vehicle in the winter.

I remember one day when my grandmother started her car we heard a clunk and a screech.

My grandmother was afraid to open the hood and so was my father for fear of what they would find. When he finally did lift the hood all my father found was a few clumps of cat hair from where the fan had nicked it. None of the cats were missing so one of the cats must have traded in one of its nine lives that day.

We learned the hard way not to park near the outside edge of a metro parking lot in the Wash DC area. The rodents came out of the grass, got into the engine compartment and ate the insulation on most of the wiring on my wife's Honda. According to the dealer, Honda was putting very flavorful wiring into their 1991 Accords.

I killed a cat when I started my car in the winter one morning. I heard this clunking noise and looked to find a bunch of white fur on my fan blades.
