Place a flag for veterans

Monday is Memorial Day. Many places in the US will need volunteers to place flags on veterans’ graves this weekend. Just google “Memorial Day flag placement” or contact your local VA cemetery or VFW post. Take your grandchildren with you and teach them what Memorial Day is all about.

Excellent suggestion @PurplePower.

May I also suggest for those that don't display the flag 365 (like I do) be sure to remember and honor our fallen warriors by displaying the flag on Memorial Day.

My late father was a veteran of WWII. He fought in Europe/ Germany in 1945, he was 18 years old. He was wounded ending up with breaking bones in both feet. A million-dollar wound, as they were under enemy fire when he was blown into a fox whole. He landed on his feet breaking bones but avoided any injury from the artillery shell. He fully recovered back in the states but by the time he was able to fight more, the war was over...

I honor our military at a local Cemetary every year on Memorial Day! Dad would have liked to know I was doing that.
