Places you visit repeatedly while vacationing but not for visiting friends or relatives?

What places to you go to often? When did you start visiting them? How often do you think you've been to them? And when was the last time you visited?

My wife and I rarely visit places repeatedly but there are a few places we do like to visit more often than others.

Our most returned to spot is probably Morro Bay because we love camping there and it had a fun bicycle ride we love to do with the dogs. We started going there back in 2019 but possibly earlier. We've been there at least 10 times and our last time there was 2023.

I personally have been going to Yosemite since the 1970s long before I started to climb. I've probably been there at least a dozen times often camping with my wife and our kids. The last time I was there was probably about 2016. It is my favorite place in the world.

I've been to London seven or eight time but the first time was to visit relatives and all the other times were tied to business travel for myself or my wife. It's my favorite city in the world and I would go back there at the drop of a hat.

We've been to the Grand Canyon three times and will be returning again this year.

Going camping next weekend at Andrew Jackson SP in SC... go twice a year for over 10 years for Dutch Oven Cooking...
But then again they have become family...
We have halfway camp spots between family in FL and in NY we stay at to break up the trip and have stayed a couple days to explore the areas

In California years ago, loved driving the coast line from L.A. to Big Sur. Went as often as possible.
Used to go back packing in the Angeles National Forest every other weekend, long time ago.

In Illinois we'd go to Wisconsin to the Finger Lakes area mostly every year for about 10 years, rent a cabin
on the lake.
We haven't been doing as much the last 6 years for sure. Just visiting family since we live in a private lake
community now.

I go often to the northern New Mexico area. I enjoy camping in the Carson National Forest, renting a cabin in the Red River area, visiting local scenic areas like the Rio Grande Del Norte National Monument, Capulin Volcano National Monument, etc. I could spend a week just in Taos. I love the scenery and the culture.

Our repeat Vacations have been the weeklong trips to Dale Hollow Lake, here in Tennessee.
We hook-up with 2 other couple on a 4-bedroom Houseboat and cruise the 43 miles of the lake.
2 water slides, full kitchen, A/C, Sun deck with Hot Tub.
The other couples are much younger and they do all the heavy stuff, so we just enjoy being taken care of!
(I get to drive the boat a lot...)

We go on cruises every year, and we've visited Athens many times. We now rent a condo there before the cruise. It is right in the middle of everything, and we meet with a local Greek tour guide who knows us and hands over the keys. I once forgot to pack some shoes and went right outside to a shop to buy some loafers. I now call them my "Greek shoes" when I wear them. We love Athens and know practically every inch of the city. The Greek people are some of the nicest of any country we've visited, and we feel right at home in Athens.
