If convicted, former Playmate of the Year Dani Mathers could reportedly face up to six months behind bars.
A Playboy model has been charged with invasion of privacy after taking a photo of a naked woman in a gym locker room and posting it on social media.


The Snapchat post also included an insulting comment about the 70-year-old woman's body.


Dani Mathers faced widespread criticism after sharing the photo in July with the caption: "If I can't unsee this then you can't either."


Mathers, 29, later apologised and deleted her social media accounts.


The gym, LA Fitness, reported the incident to police and revoked Mathers' membership.


If convicted, she could reportedly face up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.
"Her behaviour is appalling and puts every member at risk of losing their privacy," Jill Greuling, an LA Fitness executive vice president, said at the time.


It is not clear if the elderly woman, who has not been identified, knew she was being photographed.


Mathers said in July that she posted the image accidentally.


"That was absolutely wrong and not what I meant to do," she said in an online video.


"I know that body-shaming is wrong. That is not the type of person I am."


Mathers, who was Playmate of the Year in 2015, is due to appear in court on 28 November

I'm not sure if I would be more upset about having my naked picture posted on Snapchat or being referred to as elderly at age 70!!!

Dani Mathers definitely needs some professional help if that is her idea of a good time, very sad!!!

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. I have heard on the news refer to sixties and seventies as "elderly". There are a whole lot of sixtyish and seventyish boomers out there kicking up their heels ready to enjoy their retirement. Don't tell them.

Ah, yes, the pretty people. They think they will always have their good looks and tight body. Of course, lots of them have implants and other things done and I am fine with that, just don't say anything about those with different values. Our bodies are only a "container". It's the soul inside that retains beauty, the outer shell wears out. Sometimes we disagree here on many subjects and issues but there may be one thing on which we can agree--time flys. Before you know it, age 65 creeps up. If we are extremely lucky, we will have the opportunity to live til a ripe old age. Our bodies change and we might not like that either but for someone to take a picture for the purpose of putting on the I-net, how shallow.
 
Being from an era where the only cheap gyms were the local Ys in which people of all ages and/or came for different programs one became accustomed to seniors, adults, teens, kids all in the same locker room. This is now the era of the corporate gym where the bulk of the members are younger, looking to hook up, look cool etc. This 29 year old although an ignorant pos probably didn't know any better because most of her gym time was with people her age or model type materiel. Throw in some technology and social media yikes.
 
For some people this is so very violating and would cause severe trauma. It would for me. I was brought up so so old fashioned about modesty. Even when I was young I rarely wore things that showed much skin. When I went to the beach in a bathing suit mostly all I could think about was how naked I felt. I would throw big tshirts over my suit and I was neither old or fat back then. Never in a million years could I have gone nude for a photo even when I was young. Had someone put a nude photo of me somewhere everyone could view it either when I was young OR old it would have really traumatized me SEVERELY. Maybe that woman does not care if everyone sees her naked, but to some people the thought of that is horrifying. What she did was so violating and wrong. She made someone else feel almost sexually violated. It's a trauma that just goes on and on because once something is on the net IT'S ON THERE. And for a woman to do that to another woman is just so disgusting. Yes I hope Karma smacks the hell out of that woman . She did not do it because she was ignorant. She did it because she's hateful and nasty. My kids are all young and go to gyms & would never think of doing that to anyone. When I told this story to my daughter she said "How violating!"
Just look at how many people do not even want to share a face photo here. How about having your entire naked body posted on the net without your consent. Just tragic it should happen to anyone.
 
What she did was disgusting and that lady should press charges, unbelievable how some people are these days. When I belonged to a gym, it was a rule, no cellphones in the locker rooms. I suspected that there was an incident that lead to that rule, but I never knew for sure. I would be furious if anyone took my photo like that and posted in on social media, insulting comments or not. The nerve of some people.
 
You know, in our society the "pretty people" are allowed to operate outside the rules us mere mortals have to follow. Or so they think. Sad, isn't it....
 
A thought...Karma tends to bite like a mofo...wait till little girl is "elderly" and all the plastic surgery in the world can't hoist it up again...That being said, check out this fantastic couple of old people...

What a lot of those sweet young things need to figure out is that someday, if they are lucky, they will be us -- and if they are not so lucky, they'll die young. The only two options are growing old or dying young.
 
Regardless of age, I'd be furious if she did that to me when I was 30, and still wearing French cut bikinis. I like my privacy, if I caught her she may not have left the room with a phone.
 
Hopefully they do put her away for a few months. Maybe she won't look so great when she is in prison clothes and in need of a shower or hair wash!
 
That's the problem now that everyone carries phones that are also cameras ( I don't have one though.)People take pics of absolutely everything.
