Police Officer Crashes While Intoxicated, Abandons Vehicle

Just heard a news piece. The deputy called another off-duty cop who picked him up & drove him to HIS house.
Pretty good reason for that. If he reported the accident right away, he would have tested drunk. After several hours, the cop's blood alcohol level dropped - no way to prove he drove drunk. That's probably how he got away with it before. They should prosecute the other cop for being an accessory; but, of course they won't.
Same reason Ted Kennedy waited several hours to report the accident after he killed his passenger.
