SB, regarding the anti-abortion and planned parenthood stuff, call me naive but I can't imagine that anyone's serious about going back to the 1970s, with overturning Roe v. Wade. Surely even republican women would not advocate doing so...? I think it's just right-wing drum beating, I don't think that folks here in the 21st century will tolerate such foolishness.

I think the anti abortion stuff comes more from religious women than just the Republican women. That is a religious item and depending on which religion you observe you have different views. Christian Catholics do have a church driven no abortion rules. Now other Christian churches also have no abortion rules but it depends on how serious their Christian church pushes this rule. With all the variations of Christian churches their might even be one that leaves that decision up to the member and makes no big deal about it.

Speaking of retirement benefits, thanks to the SSA Windfall Elimination Provision I'll be robbed of the SS pension that I contributed to, because latter on in life I worked for a public agency. Not fair. Had I worked for a private corporation I would have collected my SS pension and the private retirement benefit from the private sector employer.
