Posting Pics & Gifs in Threads

I tried to do a search on this but came up with nothing useful. I want to be able to post JPG or PNG images and gifs from my documents folder but the "insert image" function won't access my computer documents, it wants an http:// address?
I have found a work around by using Imgur and then copy/paste but would prefer to be able to access my documents folder directly. Any suggestions on this?

You have to have a certain number of posts before you can post images. Also this site doesn't accept PNG images.

MariKS is right, after a certain number of posts a small icon like this Attach files will appear. Clicking on that will take you to your photo album. You may have to edit your photos if the file is too big. I'm showing off now, there was a time when the only file that I knew was a rasp.

I use Postimages.org and have never had a problem posting images.

I've reached the point where I can attach photos to my posts, but haven't been able to figure out how to create a photo album. Can someone point me in the right direction please?

I think I've got it. Like attaching photos to posts I guess you have to reach a certain level before you can create a photo album?

Lois... click the gif you want to copy.. and copy 'address or location''...then come to the forum, and post into the box between the smiley face and the chain link...above ^^^

I use this. Click on that image at the top of the reply window and then you can drop files or click to access your photos.

I am brand new here and used this link though not sure which link to use to properly insert a picture. Still go a photo from my files up.
