Potato Chip Cookies - crispy or soft

Would this recipe make a crispy or soft cookie?

Potato Chip Cookies
1 cup butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup crushed potato chips
½ cup sugar
½ cup chopped nuts
1 cup flour
Preheat oven to 350[SUP]0[/SUP]. Cream butter and sugar, then stir in vanilla. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well. Shape dough into 1 inch balls and place 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Press balls flat with a glass bottom dipped in sugar. Bake 16 – 18 min.

When I used to make cookies from scratch (a long, long time ago), I would underbake some and overbake others, to produce both soft and crunchy cookies.....to please those who have a preference.

That's the best excuse I've heard yet. ;) (just teasing you, jujube)

That sounds like at least twice as much butter as that recipe needs. After 18 minutes at 350 I would expect to get hard, greasy cookies.
