Tardive dyskinesia is caused by prolong use of certain psychotropic medications manifested by involuntary muscle movement usually more prevalent in uncontrolled mouth and tongue movement. Acupuncture is proven to be the most effective treatment for me.
Although undiagnosed doctors suggest I may have Parkinson's Disease. however, Tardive dyskinesia can cause hand tremors the same as Parkinson's Disease. It doesn't make sense to me undergoing extensive neurological testing to determine if I have Parkinson's Disease except possibly as a candidate for deep brain tissue massage to alleviate hand tremors.
