While watching some of my old Classic movies, the old British Monetary System with get thrown into the mix.
It may be important to the story line to know what the value of the older coins were.
For those of us not from the UK, these terms can be confusing when watching these older movies.
When a character paid for something, was it expensive or a cheap price?
Shillings, Pence, Tuppence, Bob, Farthing, Half Crown and Guinea are the common ones you hear.
Since my memory is slipping, I've put a list of these coins and their value in a sleeve in my movie collection book.
Helps me to follow the storyline and makes them more enjoyable.
