In the 60s, I saw a Sunday "news' program, where this " political thinker/expert' predicted events. He said that Canada would break up into East and West Canada. And the western provinces would become the US's 51, 52 states. I have to admit that Canadians are really falling behind in accomplishing this.
The 1960’s were a transformative decade in the U.S. The early 60’s were almost a continuation of the 1950’s, whereas by the mid-60’s the winds of change were stirring, leading to broader and more radical societal upheavals in the late 60’s.
In fashion alone, I was taken by how the video shows men going about in public wearing hats, dress jackets with ties, and topcoats as the 60’s were just anticipated. In less than ten years, you’d be hard pressed to see this, and have tie-dyed shirts and bell-bottomed jeans…groovy, baby!
