Prescription Discount Services

Have you heard of signing up for discount prescription cards. I follow a blogger Mark Evanier, newsfromme.com. Today he wrote about learning about these service discounts and the variation of prices. I won’t quote anything in his blog. It may be worth it for you there to go and read about it.

WL...I get the GoodRX card every year when I renew my discount dental plan via dentalplans.com I never use it because my prescription plan is excellent. I gave it to my granddaughter who's away at college and the pharmacy she went to didn't take it. What pharmacies have you used the GoodRx card at? And were the discounts as good as touted?

We get very good discounts with GoodRx. I have the app on my phone, and it tells me which stores in the area take it, how much the drugs I want to buy will cost me, and how far away the stores are from my location (by zip code, I think).

Thank you so much. I will give this info to my granddaughter. She may have tried to use it at a small local pharmacy instead of a major one like Walgreens or CVS. She is limited in what she can get to without taking an Uber.
