There has been inflation, but ... some of the parts are over the counter today.

Well., 'according to Google: -
.
Adjusting $6 million from 1973 for inflation puts The Six Million Dollar Man's cost around $32 to $40 Million today, but factoring in modern technology and R&D could push it to $100 million or more, with some estimates reaching tens of millions for just the parts due to advanced healthcare inflation.

The actual cost depends heavily on whether you're just inflating the original figure or re-engineering his cybernetics from scratch with today's tech.

This isn't integrated to the human, but the xsto x12 is cheap and the iBot is in the tens of thousands.

I haven't finished reading but I think I saw that some systems work off thought control. Technology for thought control exists in other devices.

AI says nothing can go 60 MPH Steve Austin speed. But with a hydraulic custom design I can envision grandma removing tree stumps.

AI says an engineer could build this prototype in about a year using currently available technology and parts for less than $500K.
