Much has been made lately of the fact that now it does not matter as to the sex of the next in line to the throne. Also to the fact that some prefer skipping a generation and putting William on the throne rather than his dad Charles. Not going to happen.

Hypothetical question.....if Anne had not been knocked out of the running by two younger brothers and the question came up today about replacing Charles with his sister Anne rather than his son William do you think Anne would have made a good queen.

I always have had a soft spot for Anne, so much like her mother who is the one royal that I do admire.

I don't know if she'd have made a Good Queen per se... simply because she doesn't suffer fools gladly and like her father she tends to speak her mind...but I like her as a person.

Aside from the Queen she's the hardest working royal family member, so she at least earns her keep...and it says something also that the 2 nicest grandchildren are Zara and Peter, Anne's children..

A fine figure of a woman.

She would not have made a good monarch as she was not brought up to it, though she has been postulated as Queen of an independent Scotland. I doubt that will happen.
