Several property owners in Virginia are suing the state Department of Wildlife Resources over a state law that allows hunters to retrieve their hunting dogs from private property.

At first, I thought what is the harm in letting a hunter retrieve his dog, but 20 dogs?????? How is a pack of dogs supposed to know what's prey, and what's a "farm animal"? And if hunters are using dogs to scare and guide prey on land, whose owner posts "no hunting", doesn't that deprive the homeowner control of his own land. It's setting the dogs off on the property, and then "retrieving " the dogs. If you're hunting with dogs, and your dogs are on others property, you are still hunting, regardless of the " no hunting" rights of the landowners.
