Psvt/svt any else have this?

I was diagnosed several years ago with this heart condition. Doc says it is non life threatening, but it scares me when it hits. It is caused by an electrical signal getting mixed up in my heart. I can be sitting and relaxed and my heart rate will go up to 185 bpm and can stay like that for a couple hours.
Going thru it right now. You can visibly see my chest pounding. After it tapers off I feel exhausted like I ran for 2 hours at full speed. There is treatment options, mostly going in and cauterizing a spot on my heart. Very high success rate with that. But I hate the thought and cost of having it done. Any else in this boat or had the procedure done?

I had a boss who had that problem. It turned out that he had a long "skin tag" in his heart and when it would bend over and touch the surface, it would cause an electrical circuit and short-circuit his heart.

They went in with a loop and hoicked it out and Voila! No More Problems.

It sounds similar to A-fib. My husband had the ablation and so far it’s worked well.

Don’t you have health insurance to pay for this?

I have SVTs occasionally. It’s kept under control by taking Atenolol.

I don't usually feel mine. Didn't even know they were happening but a holter showed I had them.

I'd do the ablation. A heart rate that high would affect my life too negatively to deal with it.

I had that happen to me once. My heart rate shot up to around 200. Luckily I was already at hospital for another appointment and rushed into urgent care. I'm on heart medication now. It was strange because I felt something in my head just before it happened. Haven't needed any procedures yet.
