Pub style cooking

Every once in a while, I treat myself to prepared 'pub style' offerings.

Today it was Asian tempura battered chicken pieces. Just bake them and use the sauce provided.

I made rice on the side. It was good but I was disappointed in the sauce. Way too spicy.

I usually think of burgers, fries and other "hand-held" foods at a pub. Of course I don't get out much. :D Your dinner looks great, Camper.

When I think of pub food I think of Chicken Fingers or a Clubhouse Sandwich. What was wrong with the sauce Camper?

My simple recipe for rice. Always nice and fluffy. Jasmine rice. Single serving. 1/3 cup of rice. 2/3 cup of water. Add a tablespoon of butter. Bring to a boil for five minutes. Cover and turn off the heat. Allow the rice to absorb all the moisture under low heat. Fluff up and serve.

Im only cooking for one.
