Public commercials about personality problems?

The recent news about Johnny Manziel and how he's pretty much just thrown the opportunity of a lifetime right out the window with his violent behavior & other issues has got me to wondering. I wish they would put public service commercials giving advice about how to get help for anger management and other issues of concern. I had huge rage issues when I was young. I did not go around picking fights, but god help the person that hit me..I would lose my ever loving mind when that happened. This rage issue followed me most of my life. It took me so long to learn to let go of the rage. I think I could have benefit from getting therapy when I was young for it. My problem was always that it was expensive & I didn't have that kind of cash. There should be cheaper alternative therapy programs in place for communities. Maybe something like AA only for rage addicts, but SOMETHING, and something that gets talked about. Look how many celebrities have trouble controlling themselves and throwing away careers. Just imagine people with a lot less to lose.

Glad I wasn't around you when we were both youths...
Well Father Ralphy it's not like I was running around slapping everyone upside the head. I was the opposite..holding it all in. ..but you would have been safe anyway because I never went to the east coast :p

This Manziel character has more than anger issues. He's already crossed the criminal line by striking a girl friend breaking her eardrum and has been stopped for a couple of duis among other things. He is a menace to the public at this point. He is a narcissist who also seems to have affluenza. I've heard reports he's snapped on elder relatives and family. It's seems when things don't go little Johnny's way he loses it. I can only offer a pink handkerchief.

If not therapy someone should put things into perspective for this kid. And yes decades ago almost no one would try or get away with some of this crap out in public, now it's a badge of honor and resume builder to have had somekind of rehab as a celebrity.

I don't have a clue who Johnny Manziel is and I'm glad.

Maybe the problem with therapy or 12-step programs for people with rage issues is that everybody's scared to suggest the person needs it. I would be!

Psychotherapy by a psychiatrist is available in Canada and covered here courtesy of our health care system, however psychologists and social worker/alternative therapists aren't, only if one's work insurance provider will cover it.

I don't know who this Manziel guy is either. But years ago women were in a much worse position as far as physical abuse goes, even in public, which I have witnessed - there were no shelters, no charges laid for rape, abuse, etc. The nasties were out there then, as they are now, but these days they can at least get some help, especially after assault charges are laid. Nowadays people can't go around punching/striking anyone, as used to happen in the old days, people now will and do call the police if someone even grazes them with a scarf.

A recent first round draft choice for the National Football League who can't let go of his college frat boy days in which there were some incriminating videos of stupid stuff as well. So basically it's a young millionaire behaving badly getting EXTREMELY upset when he doesn't get his way.

Which means he has money to get some quite private therapy/therapists along with expensive cars, clothes and drinks.
