Well given that one million dollars equates to just short of three quarters of a million pounds, I'm all but there.
We are selling our house, a photographer will be here next week to take photos of every room, as well as outside. Soon those photos will be in a brochure and on the agents website. Our asking price isn't a lot less than that one million bucks.

Hell, yes! For a million dollars, I would gladly face the embarrassment of my house needing dusting and the bathtub tiles needing a little scrubbing.

With a million dollars, I could change my name, check into the Martha Stewart Bad-Housekeeping Rehabilitation Center, get a face-lift and a tummy-tuck, and then slink into the Witness Protection Program.

I could get me a little cottage and hire someone to dust and scrub for me. I'll do the laundry, vacuum and do the dishes.

For $1,000,000, ( which is about $600,000 after taxes), I'd take the money and buy another place. You have no idea what is going to set someone off. I have a cousin, who won the lottery, and her address was know. For well over a year the nuts were coming out of the woods any the time of the day or night.. Ain't no way I'd go through that.
