Pushy Salespeople

Terrible Intrusive Dude at Dental Office

There is a horrible dude at my dentist's office. He seems to think he runs the place, never mind the dentist's nor the patient's wishes. I went in for some routine stuff and mentioned that I hadn't had my teeth cleaned at a dental office for a long time. They called in a special person who wanted to scrape down inside my gums in quarterly appointments and then go in often to have things checked. This guy tried to sell the thing to me and sat me down to explain their payment plan. It was over $2000 just for that. I said "not now, maybe later". The dude kept after me and even called me on the phone at home to keep on trying to sell the plan to me. The guy lied to me that he had consulted the dentist when he hadn't. What a creep! I still may have the procedure, I went through it once before, but certainly not where I might run into this guy again. There are a lot of dentists in town and I have dental insurance.

I know this thread is about pushy salespeople, but because a couple folks have mentioned bad Toyota experiences, I wanted to say I had a very nice experience purchasing a Toyota this year. It really depends on the dealership. I'm someone who researches everything completey before buying anything major because I don't like surprises and want to know all the details beforehand. The dealership I went to was low key and I got a very good deal, much better than expected.
