Putting rum in tea.....

When I was fourteen the aunt of a friend of mine added some rum to the teapot, before serving it in china cups.

I've never forgotten it, as it was one of the best cuppas I've ever had, (and I've had a few), and it was the first time I'd tasted rum too.

Luckily it didn't turn me into an alcoholic, as my mother might have feared, and this morning, for the first time in a good while, I added a tot of rum, to see if it tasted as good, and it did I'm glad to say!

Never been the same since gunpowder ceased to be generally available (I'm in the UK)!

I mean the proper old fashioned Black powder.

Cordite and nitro cellulose are not the same!

Sugar, Irish Whiskey and Cream, either whipped or plain,
whipped cream sits easier on top of the coffee.

Thanks Mike. I used to have it at a nearby restaurant--I don't think they put sugar in it where I go to (because it didn't taste sweet) but whipped cream, whiskey and coffee yes. ☕

I always put in a double, but I don't know how
you say that in America.

Three fingers maybe?

Mike.
