For the gardeners two different questions...

Strawberries- I got a really good kind this year Hula Berries, for real...if you see them, give them a try. Really juicy tasty berries. The problem is I guess is maybe you need one of those strawberry pots or it should be a hanging plant ideally? It's got vines all over the place. Should I make it a hanging plant?

Geranium- There is a red one that survived Levon and other cats trying to kill it repeatedly. It's now maybe three feet high and still blooming beautifully. I got a new one recently in pink. Young and full. Is there a way to trim back the red one so it has more side growth? Where would you trim?

Strawberries make runners because they become the new plant for next year. If you look at those 'vines' and see the plants, they should have tuber like roots on them, waiting to get into some dirt to grow. They are hardy any way you grow them. Keep them watered and snip off the new plants and put them somewhere to grow, when they get too long.

mmmmmmmmm, strawberries..............I have been eating fresh strawberries this year. I used an old fire pit that is about 18 inches tall, filled it with some good dirt (my own blend) and planted 10 ever bearing strawberry plants last year. I had to thin the strawberry pit this year as way too many plants were crowding each other out. I have planted several plants in 5 gallon buckets and they are also producing nicely.
