Question for the Ladies

Besides physical and/or mental abuse and murdering someone, I think standing up the bride (or groom) is one of the worse things you can do to someone. So that would be the end of our relationship.

I've always chuckled at the phrase "Get him drunk" or "Get her drunk." How does anyone force anyone to get drunk?
Well, maybe at gunpoint.......
I actually agree with you, @win231, we're all ultimately responsible for what we drink. I'm just trying to find some slight defense for this guy, since everybody's ready to kill him. After all, the Bachelor Party has a long history of being a "go wild one last time" event and traditionally the Best Man is in charge, setting up the drinks games, the "entertainment" and then getting the groom to the church on time the next morning. Can't we get him to take a little bit of the blame?

No. "The best man made me do it" is no excuse at all.

Nothing about a bachelor party. This was the situation in the OP's post.

"On your wedding day the groom stands you up. Later you find out he was out drinking the night before with another woman and "forgot" the ceremony."

Unforgiveable but good news for the woman that was going to marry that guy. She escaped that marriage.

Anyone remember Lorena Bobbitt?😭
Sure, I know at least one abusive husband who considered that a learning experience. Became much nicer and hid the sharp knives. A very intelligent move. They were neighbors and his wife was a confidante for several years.
