Question [possibly silly one] About Eggs

I'm starting my grocery list for pickup and see something I've never seen... ever. My one store has eggs for $3.99 *but* right on the carton, it says "Nest Eggs." Then the normal "fresh from the farm" and so on. I've never seen this and a Google search mostly shows results for the financial kind of "nest egg." I did find this, though: a real or artificial egg left in a nest to induce hens to lay eggs there. I get the concept of that, but what would it mean when it applies to buying them in a store? Are they inferior in any way? Or are they actually selling eggs in the dairy case for farmers to fake out the chickens and they're not to be eaten? Color me puzzled this morning. If this is common, it's just now getting to my corner of the globe, apparently.

Go ahead and laugh at my question/cluelessness... I beat you to it. 🤭

If I had to guess I'd say in factory egg plants the eggs are laid on a grid that drops them right onto the conveyor belt (?)
Part of marketing would be to advertise real nest laying. Like pasture raised.

Yes.... and that's why I asked the question. All other brands of eggs at the same store are around $5 so I wondered what was "wrong" with these because it wasn't listed as a sale price or anything. Wondered if they may have been extra small or... âť“ It's an online/pickup order so I don't get to see them first.
