Muffins, Quick Breads, Scones, Biscuits?

Hmmm, I like a cranberry-orange scones, but can't make them. Whole foods does. I like biscuits, but I can't make those either. I get the Pillsbury Grands refrigerated dough.

I have made a few great banana breads and whole wheat blueberry muffins for my grandsons.

I love Scones and Biscuits with a touch of jelly. Very tasty.

I like buttermilk bisquits, banana nut, pumpkin and zuccini breads. Anything I can put a nice pat of fresh butter on!

I like them all but I really enjoy date and nut bread with cream cheese.

This time of year I like to make Pumpkin Bread. I have six loaves in the freezer that I made this past week.

That looks so good Bonnie. I love pumpkin bread, banana bread and zucchini bread with chocolate chips. It sounds disgusting but it’s really quite good.

When I was feeding a family and also had lots of drop-in company, I kept Angel Biscuits in the freezer ready to be browned off for a meal. They are a buttermilk biscuit made with yeast - not exactly a biscuit or a yeast roll, but a happy combo.

I love biscuits. Quick breads and muffins, not so much. I've never liked a slightly sweet taste in breads. For me it is either bread or cake, nothing in between.

Ruth - I thought I was the only one who felt this way. Never been much of a fan of quick breads or muffins, the texture is too moist for me.

@Ruthanne - no need to feel sad. I love most baked goods and am more than happy to not have the quickbread group calling me to indulge.

I used to make quite a lot of corn bread, but have gotten away from it lately. I prefer my cornbread "Mexican style" (i.e. not too sweet, more on the savory side). I add some cayenne pepper, cumin and shredded cheese. That may not appeal to most people who are so used to cormbread being more like cake.

Sugar has no place in cornbread. Ask any southerner. Hot peppers, cayenne, cumin, cheese OK
